Bike tour Pattaya
Including visit Sanctuary of Truth
"Colors of Pattaya Special Edition" is a gentle bicycle ride of around 20-25 km that will take about 5-6 hours and includes a visit to the Sanctuary of Truth.
Highlights of this bike tour
We follow the coastal line along Wong-Amat and Palm-Beach where we will visit a school for blind children.
After that we will already stop for your visit to the Sanctuary of Truth. This Sanctuary is an impressive wooden temple complex on the Naklua seashore. Every square inch of the building is covered with wooden carve sculpture. Special about the construction is that there are no nails or other metals used at all.
Inside the complex there are many different things to see and do, like Thai Dance shows or an elephant ride.
After we have continued cycling, we stop at the local fishing pier and walk across the fish market. We cycle along the unknown ‘klongs’ (canals) through the China Town of Pattaya.
After we have a simple but tasty local lunch we will cross Sukhumvit road, to arrive at the countryside of Pattaya, where time seems to have stood still. Here we will see people work in the fields and in their houses / farms. We visit a Muay Thai boxing school founded by a very famous Thai professional boxer.
After some more paddling through this unspoiled area we return to our starting point at Ryan's Bar, where your efforts will be rewarded with a nice cool beer or soft drink of your choice.
If you like cycling and outdoor-life, and also want to visit one of Pattaya’s most beautiful buildings, you will definitely enjoy this ride.
